Archaeologists plan to excavate Vaishya Tekri near Ujjain. This site contains remains of a massive stupa from the Mauryan period. A previous excavation at Kumhar Tekri revealed 42 diverse ancient skeletons. Modern scientific analysis could reveal more about these ancient people. The new excavation may answer long-standing questions about the past.
