Russia continues to use culture and internationally recognized artists to advance its influence abroad and promote the normalization of relations with Moscow despite the ongoing war. Russian violinists Vadim Repin and Mikhail Simonyan are examples of Kremlin-linked cultural engagement that, ultimately, cannot be separated from Russia’s actions in Ukraine.
