Protected bald eagle found shot near Pa. hiking trail; Game Commission seeks perpetrator

While examining the bald eagle, the state warden found a pellet from an air rifle in the wing of the bird, which, due to the level of “advanced” infection, the bird was likely shot a week prior to being found.
