Severe storms hit Metro Detroit, leaving downed trees, damaged homes, 80 traffic lights out

Detroit officials are assessing damage after severe storms moved through the city Thursday afternoon, damaging homes and buildings, toppling trees and power lines, and leaving about 80 intersections without working traffic signals.
