The level of military threat to Latvia has not changed, and residents have no reason to be concerned, Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs (United List) said on August 27th as he attempted to reassure the public that moves to potentially declare a 'state of emergency' along the country's eastern border are nothing to worry about.
